macbook_pro-m4 | sudo apt upgrade

i wanted to upgrade my laptop from the 512gb version because i was running low on storage, however for many stupid reasons apple does not let you replace storage. fortunately for me i live in China and micro soldering places are just a hop and skip away, so i sent off my laptop to get upgraded for 3100 RMB (460.15 USD equivalent).

was it worth it? probably not given the outrageous cost of memory prices these days but strapped for time and just getting my computer back from the apple store after getting fixed (2 days before my warranty expired no less), i decided to get it done same day and its been working flawlessly ever since. they even gave me the memory chips used- afterwards. i ended up with 2tb of storage mostly to keep some larger backups, id give the experience a 4.5/5
